Long time no post!
My poor blog is neglected! I just can't get off Facebook! haha! Anyway, finally got my new camera battery charger in the mail, so now I can take pictures again, and I took several today! Paige broke her arm 3 weeks ago (for those of you who don't already know) and she got her cast off today! I don't have many pictures with the cast because of my camera issues, but we are so glad to have it off! Yay! We celebrated by taking her to a Biscuits Baseball game tonight. She even got a baseball! Here are some pictures from the day!
Last cast picture! Eating crackers!
All done! Posing for mommy
Yummy blue icee at Target, her most favorite place!
Paige and her daddy enjoying the baseball game, don't they look like they are having fun?
When we were walking to the car after the game, she said, "It's a beautiful day!" It was.

3 posts in 1!
Haven't blogged in awhile, so here are a few things we have been doing over the past couple of weeks!
Here we are at our 10 year class reunion about a week ago. We had a good time and it was good to see everyone. Only 14 out of 37 came, but it was still fun. Paige made two new friends and also had a ball.
Here is Paige at her first bowling outing, she loved it! She did not want to give back her orange ball, but got a pink balloon and played games in the arcade and won some prizes there too.
Here she is doing the granny roll!
Today we had a birthday party for my mother's 60th birthday. Here she is after blowing out her candles.
Me, Bear Bear and my sister Erin.
Having fun and opening her gifts with help from Paige. Happy birthday Bear Bear!

Happy Easter!
Hope everyone had a very happy Easter! We did! Here is a very lucky picture that I got of Paige in her Easter dress that I made myself the day before Easter! (Yes, I love to do things last minute!) I made it in her favorite color, "lellow!" She and her cousin Maddie had a great time playing and hunting easter eggs.

The Lemonade award
I received this award from BearBear for showing great attitude and/or gratitude with my blog, and am supposed to pass it on to other bloggers, but I think they would be the same ones that BearBear picked, plus I don't know how to link yet, I will have to get my mother to teach me! (Funny, huh?) Anyway, all the blogs I follow are great, just check them out on the right side of my page! And if yours isn't over there, tell me and I'll put it there!

Just some stuff I made
A beach towel for a 1-year-old birthday present!
Burp cloths for church baby shower gifts: the one on the left is flannel and was for a boy, the one on the right was for a girl, I was not near a fabric store that day so I went in Pier One and bought a napkin that felt soft and looked pretty and used it!
Can't take all the credit for these, they were a last minute baby gift for work, Mama monogrammed and appliqued them for me and I put the ribbon on when I got home.
Lots of people I know are having babies recently or coming up soon, so I am having fun making all these fun gifts!

Ode to Goof
Our sweet puppy, Goofy, went to doggie heaven yesterday, and I am still in shock.
Garrett's sister, Hannah, has a dog that had a litter of puppies last October. Garrett had just lost his favorite dog of 9 years, Daisy, recently and wanted to get one of the puppies. I really didn't want one because I knew it would be something else to take care of, and I wasn't sure how Roscoe (our weenie dog) would like it. But I am an animal lover, and I could tell Garrett really missed Daisy, so I gave in. Well he called me at work one evening and wanted to bring one of the puppies home, but couldn't decide which one, so I said to bring 2 or 3 home and we could decide which one we wanted. He brought home his 2 favorite, both boys, and they stayed a couple of days. We had planned on just getting one, but after they stayed awhile, we just couldn't take the other one back! Most people, and our common sense said this was a bad idea to get 2 dogs! But it turned out to be wonderful, they loved each other so much, they did everything together. They played, slept, ate together, and kept each other company. They didn't have names for a long time, and we finally got Paige to name them, and she picked 2 wonderful names: Goofy and Donald of course! And she could tell them apart, she always called them by their right names! They had just been the greatest puppies, and we all really loved them.
We had noticed they were not eating as much lately, but we thought they were just slowing down their growth. They still played though and acted normal. Saturday morning, Garrett noticed that Goofy was not jumping up on the fence to see him like Donald was, but didn't think too much of it. Sunday morning when he went to feed them though, Goofy was very sick. It seemed to happen so fast, or maybe it was just that he was a pretty mild mannered dog and we just didn't notice it as much. We knew he didn't feel good, but thought he would be okay until the next day and we had planned on taking him to the vet. We came home Sunday night to find sweet ole Goof had left us. It still doesn't seem quite real to me, because he seemed fine just 2 days ago. I really never thought this would happen, we thought about all the other aspects of having 2 dogs, but never this one. Goofy was a great dog, and I wish we could have had him longer. Donald, whose personality is very different, but still great, was very sad last night. He sat outside the door looking at us and crying. This broke my heart! And he looks so lonely sleeping, he and Goofy used to cuddle up together every night, I was so used to seeing them together like that! But tonight he was much better, he only cried while we were cooking supper, but has been fine after that. Paige knows that Goofy is gone, but forgets easily where he is. I told her he is in doggie heaven with Jesus, and she is happy with that. She asked me if daddy took him there, and I said no, God did. Tonight at supper she still said thank you God for Roscoe, Goofy and Donald.
So this is my ode to Goof-Goof, as I called him! Wish we could have played longer and that you could have grown up with Paige! We miss you!

Landscaping phase one!
Still working on those snow videos, they take so darn long to upload, but they are so cute and will be worth it! Give me time!
And after, hard to tell in this picture I know, but we planted 3 azaleas, 2 wallflowers (28 cents each, good eye BearBear!), and 5 phlox (the purple ones in front). They look like we placed them in kind of odd places but they will spread so it didn't really matter where we put them. And they will all come back!
You can see the plants better in this picture.
Yesterday we did one small portion of landscaping, or planting in our yard. We have a whole big yard to go, so this was a nice easy and quick little project. Now to plan what the rest of the yard needs! That will probably take the longest, just me deciding what I want to do with the rest of the yard! But I don't need to wait too long or it will be too hot! Here are some before and after pictures!
This is the area before. (Nothing!)

Snow videos, finally!
Yes I know that it snowed on March 1st, and today is April 9th, but it took my videos awhile to upload! About a month, haha! Anyway, when Paige saw that it was snowing, she immediately asked for a scarf for some reason! So she borrowed mine. We were not prepared for the snow! She is wearing a Bass Pro Shops baseball cap and socks on her hands for gloves! But we made it work! These videos are kind of sad now because Goofy is in them (he is the solid black dog).

Paige on the choo-choo train!
Whoa I haven't blogged in 10 days! We have been really busy working and doing not fun stuff, plus my computer had a virus. Thanks to genius Chris Powell, it is fixed!!! YAY!! I don't have much to write about, but I will post a video of Paige on the choo-choo train at the zoo the other day. It was raining, but we still rode the train! She loved it!

Room update
Here is how far we got tonight, no we did not clean up our mess! We were tired! I did all the painting and Garrett did the floor, we both almost finished! Paige really helped a lot, she would bring her daddy the floor tiles and peel the paper off the back for him!
Here is a close up of the new floor, much better! When we were almost finished, Paige came up to me and said,"You can sew now Mommy!"

Coming soon... a sewing room!
This beautiful picture is my future sewing room! Isn't it lovely! Well it will be soon. This is what we first called our "tornado room" because it is in the basement and has no windows. It is very plain, and only needs minor work. The old vinyl floor has already been pulled back, that's why the floor looks so bad now. We are going to put down stick-down vinyl tiles and new baseboards, paint the walls and get a new door and light fixture. That's it! Then I can set up my sewing machine and ironing board, and move all my "stuff" into this room! Exciting! Need storage ideas though.
Stay tuned for the after pictures! (But don't expect them TOO soon!)

With that said, here is something random! Thought you might enjoy how Paige modified my decorations!
Always helping Mommy out!

Welcome back home, it's cold!!
We returned home today from our 5 day cruise, and for me it was bittersweet to come home. We both were very ready to see our Paigie-poo, and she welcomed us home with huge hugs and kisses, and screams! The cruise weather was a little disappointing to me, it was cloudier and windier than I had thought it would be. We sat out on the pool deck one day with beach towels wrapped around us, I would have spent a lot more time out there reading if it had been a little warmer. But other than that, I was really enjoying how relaxing it was. We really did not watch the time that much, didn't matter if we ate breakfast at almost lunchtime and lunch at 2:30. We were a whole hour late to dinner one night because our cell phones were an hour behind the ship, but they still served us! The boat was much more "rockier" this time too, as I am sitting here typing I still feel like I am swaying back and forth! But we didn't get seasick, surprisingly! Over all, I could have stayed a few more days, but I am glad to be back home with my sweet girl! We came home, by the way, to a broken heater in the house (59 degrees inside when we got home) and Paige has had an upset tummy, and later tonight Garrett got chills and aches! Can I go back on vacation please? Anyway, the first picture is our ship docked in Cozumel. It was a great ship, with a waterslide, 24 hour pizza and ice cream, great dinners, and great shows. You can have a lot of fun there if you want, but we did more relaxing.
Here is one of the towel creations they did in our room, we're pretty sure it's a puppy dog wearing Garrett's sunglasses.
This is the only picture we have of ourselves together! This is just off the pier in Cozumel, you can see the ships behind us. We knew Paige would like this picture with the alligator!
Here's Garrett posing outside of Fat Tuesday in Cozumel. We didn't see the hat at first, and some lady sitting nearby started yelling,"You have to wear the hat! It's no good without the hat!" She got up and helped him put the hat on. Funny picture!

We played putt putt on our way back home. The ship had 9 holes of mini golf, it was pretty fun, and something different to do for entertainment. We really didn't take a whole lot of pictures because there wasn't really a whole lot going on! We took several videos, maybe I can upload one sometime soon when I have more time and it's not so late. There's one of Garrett going down the waterslide that Paige loves and wants to watch over and over!

A real vacation, ahhh...
Yes I should be in the bed now, but when I think about the amount of sleep I am planning on getting over the next 5 days, I really don't care right now! We are leaving in the morning for New Orleans, where we will get on board the Carnival Fantasy until Monday! We will be in Cozumel on Saturday. This will be my 4th cruise, and Garrett's third, so we have cruised before and know what to expect, but this one will be very different than the ones before! Our last "real" vacation was to Gatlinburg with a large group of friends right after I found out I was pregnant with Paige (December 2005). Our last cruise was December 2004 with that same group of friends, before any of us had kids! Now we all have at least one or one on the way! Paige will not be going on this trip with us, it will be our first time away from each other for more than one night. I had been begging Garrett for a "just us" trip for a few months, and the cruise was his idea. We are very excited, and a little sad about leaving our little munchkin, but we know that we both really need this vacation. I think she will be fine, she loves to stay with her grandparents and aunties, I am just a little worried about the amount of time, that she may not understand how long we are going to be gone. But her Bear Bear made her a paper chain to help her count down the days until Mommy and Daddy get home, so I think that will help a lot. I have been excited about this for awhile, but now that it is right upon me, I honestly think I am not going to know what to do with myself! I plan on doing a whole lot of nothing, but I realize now that I am not used to that at all! I hope I don't get bored! There will be no cooking, cleaning, worrying about what to eat, wear, no potty training or whining! ha! No toys all over the place! I can do whatever I want to do! SLEEP REALLY REALLY LATE! That is what I am most looking forward to! Sad, huh? I want to relax, but if I get bored I might think too much about how I miss my little stinker and my busy mommy life at home! But maybe not! I guess we will see! I have a book that my daddy lended me to read, and an Eeyore needlepoint that Paige wanted me to make for her. Two things I like or would like to do, but never have time! I guess I will wrap up and hopefully go to bed soon!

Paige's first haircut
Paige finally got her hair cut today. Mommy finally made herself do it! She was very excited at first but once she got in the chair was not very happy. I didn't get much video because she wanted me to hold both of her hands, and she just looked down most of the time. I tried to show her the animals on her cape but she didn't really care! She just got a trim and we saved some in a ziplock bag. She remembered that part, because she told her daddy and Bear Bear that "they cut it and put it in a bag." They gave her a blue sucker afterwards, and she is still sporting her blue moustache.
Here are the videos, I didn't know videos took forever to upload!
Showing off her new "do" afterwards! Her Uncle Chris will probably still say she has a mullet!

Another funny one from my silly girl
I could blog every day with something funny Paige said. This winter her skin has been really dry and itchy, and she has been scratching all over lately. She was getting out of the tub tonight and her daddy came into the bathroom with the phone, he was talking to his grandmother. Paige wanted to talk, so he put it on speakerphone and held it up to her. She said "Hey grandmama!" and grandmama said "Whatcha doin?" and Paige said just as plain as day "scratchin' myself!" Her mommy and daddy nearly died!

A girl will do anything for a great deal on shoes!!
Okay, so I heard that Target was having a great sale on shoes! I worked today, and usually I work until 7 p.m. but things were really slow so I left about 6:15. Well I needed to buy some deodorant, and I could have just gone across the street to the CVS or something, but no, I decided to drive all the way to Target so I could look at the shoes before they got really picked over! Why doesn't my husband understand this!? Honestly, they were already pretty picked over, but I did find Paige 2 pairs of really cute shoes for only $3.75 a pair! Didn't find anything for me, but I have more fun buying for her than me anyway. I even managed to remember the little odds and ends that I needed to get at the store and got them too! Usually I can't think of it all and I'm too hardheaded to make myself a list! Anyway, I brought the shoes home and Paige loved them! She especially loves the sparkly bronze ones, they have some growing room. She's growing so fast, this is the way to buy shoes for her because she doesn't wear them long! And since it was 30 degrees outside, I just had to stop at Starbucks since it's so close to Target and get me a latte! Once again, why doesn't my husband understand this!? Ha!

Let's try adding a picture again!
Okay, I'll try it!
I have had many requests to start blogging, and looking at all my friends' blogs, I feel like mine will be not so interesting, but I will try! I will never be as good as Bear Bear with her 4 (yes, four) cute blogs! I named it Mommy's house, because that is what Paige calls our house. It's not Paige's house, or Daddy's house, or our house, not even Roscoe's house. For some reason it is Mommy's house! And even though we really don't spend a whole lot of time here, that was all I could think of at the moment! Maybe I'll think of something cuter later! I will hopefully figure out how to add some pictures when I finish typing!
Probably all I will blog about are the cute things that Paige says. I always say that I wish I was writing down all the funny things she says so I can remember them, so maybe this can be my way of writing them down! Tonight we had a get-together with friends and we played a little Rock Band. Paige got to play some too, she loved the drums, microphone, and "bootar" (guitar).
We got in the car to go home, it was pretty late, and she said very sadly, "I don't want to go home, I want to do more band." Garrett and I just laughed and he said,"How sad Mama!" Then we asked her if we could be in her band and she said yes. Then it turned into this,"and Man-Man, and Allison, and Madison, and Cole, and Brandy, and Daniel, and Stacy, and Paw Paw, and Bear Bear, and Erin, and Chris......." and on and on. She is so silly. Then she told me and Garrett that we could play the "bootar" and she would sing. Her Paw Paw will be proud. Well the computer is acting crazy, I'll add pictures later!
